Dear Vicki,
My deepest and heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your dad. Please accept my apology that I did not reciprocate the kindness and generosity you displayed to my family several months before my mom's  passing. 
God bless your dad for serving in  WWII and being the patriarch of such a fine family.

My condolences to the entire Miller family.  Memories of your parents and the joy, laughter, & love expressed to me in my youth is remembered today.  I'll never forget the jokes your father told thinking them to be quite corny back in the day.  Funny, how my perspective changes and now how I have used your father's example to engage with those around me!  Yes, he made that kind of impact on me.... as well as the friendship with all of you. My condolences for your loss to the entire Miller family.  One cannot recall the days of my childhood, especially the teen years, without remembering so many wonderful times spent inside the Miller home.  Always welcomed with open arms I remember both of your parents being kind & generous of spirit!  I remember Mr. Miller's smile and the laughter!! Never without a joke or story to tell to make us all laugh!  Lovely to see all the photographs!  I believe he was smiling in every one of them! Blessings to all of you in this time of grief.

In behalf of my family: Mr. Miller helped make Grandview a great place to grow up in the 1950's and 60's. I thank him for his military service, and for the years of neighborliness he extended to my family. With deepest sympathy to Dave, Vicki and Phil.

I am grateful for the life of Mr. Miller.  Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.

I know you take solace in the fact that your parents are once again together.  Both of them had a huge impact on those around them reaching down into their grandchildren's generation.  We will all forever have etched in our memories them sitting down the base line in their lawn chairs or in the gym cheering on a child in a basketball game! They also live on not only in memories of wonderful times but in the faces of your children and grandchildren.  Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
