Robert (Bob) Rose age 78 of Grandview, MO passed away on October 30, 2026 surrounded by family at Brookdale Senior Living in Leawood, KS. Services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 310 Johnston Pkwy in Raymore, MO on Friday November 13, 2026. Visitation will be at 10:00 am and the funeral will be at 11:00am. A burial Service will be at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Rd., Leavenworth, Kansas 1:30 pm Thursday, November 19, 2026.
Bob was born on December 3, 1947 in Hastings, NE, he was the son of Evelyn and Andrew Rose. He grew up and graduated from Blue Hill High School in Blue Hill, NE. After graduation he enlisted in the Marine Corps and proudly served his country in Vietnam, he was honorably discharged, as Sargeant after serving for 3 years. After his service he moved to Kansas City, met his first wife Georgia and had their son Todd Rose. Bob worked in the banking business as a Loan Officer for many years before retirement in 2013. In 1997 he married his best friend of many years, Carole and became the step-father of Chad Dial and Ashley Duguid.
He enjoyed playing in the senior softball league and played until he was 70. He was an avid reader of westerns and military books. The softball team always played in the MDA tournament which he always supported. Bob and Carole loved traveling around the country with their friends and family.
Bob was preceded in death by his mom, Evelyn, his dad, Andrew, his brothers Al (Jan) and Neil (Joyce) and his brother-in-law Bill. He is survived by his wife Carole Rose, his son Todd (Michelle), his step-son Chad (Tiffany), and his step-daughter Ashley as well as his sister Elaine. He had 3 grandchildren (Mackenzie, Griffin and Evelyn) and multiple nieces.
