Edward L. Evans, 82, of Peculiar, Missouri, formerly of Grandview, Missouri, died October 7, 2012. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 12, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South. Ed worked for the Kansas City Star as a pressman for over 30 years, prior to his retirement. A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Proceeded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years, Edna Louise in 2008. Ed leaves behind many dear friends and family including one son, Ed Evans and wife Gayle; daughter, Connie Huckeby; brother, Jack Evans and wife Carman; grandchildren, Tony Huckeby, Curt Huckeby, Larkin Walsh and Allyson Evans; great grandchildren, Katie and Connor Huckeby, Art and Bikely Walsh and Nikki Savage, one great-great- grandchild, Rykin Savage.
