Edythe K. Cocks, 88, of Grandview, Mo., passed away June 8, 2010, at Camden Care Center Harrisonville, Mo. Visitation 6 to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, June 10, at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 12913 Grandview Rd, Grandview. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Friday, June 11, at Coronation of Our Lady Catholic Church, 13000 Bennington, Grandview. Edythe was born July 12, 1921, in Richmond Township, Kan., to Peter and Minnie Boeckman Kongs. She was a lifelong resident of Grandview. Edythe was a food director for the Grandview School District. She was a Deer in the Grandview Elks Lodge and a member of the Coronation of Our Lady Altar and Rosary Society. Survived by son, Joseph R. Cocks (Karen S.), Cass County, Mo.; brother, Cy Kongs (Mary), Overland Park, Kan.; sisters, Elaine Flynn (Bob), Lee's Summit, Mo., and Jeanne Moss, Parkville, Mo.; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
