Evelyn Ada West

Evelyn Ada West, 90, of Grandview, MO passed away March 2, 2014 at her home. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Contributions are suggested to Kansas City Hospice.

Evelyn was born March 28, 1923 in Fort Collins, CO. She graduated from Nevada, MO High School, attended Cottey College, Nevada, MO, and Kansas City College of Commerce. Evelyn worked for Gustin-Bacon Mfg. Co. and Pratt-Whitney Aircraft. Robert and Evelyn moved to Grandview in May 1944.

Evelyn was a member of General Federation Women’s Club, Grandview Study Club, past president of Study Club, past president of Women’s Society of United Methodist Church. Active in area Parent Teacher Association 1950-1968. Member of Cub Scout Committee and Den Mother 1952-1960. Member of Greater Kansas City Art Association, Tri-County Art League and Ozark Brush & Palette.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert Lee West in 1999. She was survived by two sons, Robert Scott and wife, Pat West and Richard Lee West and wife, Judy L.
