

Franklin James Ronk, 90 of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on December 8, 2016. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM, with memorial services following at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Grandview, Missouri on Tuesday, December 13th, 2016.
Frank was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on Dec. 12,1925 to Paul A. Ronk and Francis C. Ronk. He served in the Navy during World War II with duties in the South Pacific and the Aleutian Islands. After the war, he was employed by the Missouri Pacific Railroad as a telegrapher and retired as a computer analyst. He volunteered at Olathe Medical Center and delivered Meals on Wheels for many years. Frank had a beautiful voice and entertained at hospitals and retirement homes. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Olathe Intergenerational Choir, The Good Guys, National Railroad Veterans Club, Missouri Pacific Officers Club and Holy Trinity Church Choir.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Paul A. Ronk and Francis C. Ronk, a daughter, Jill Allene Ronk, a son, Timothy Kent Ronk, and a brother, Gene M. Ronk of Council Bluffs, Iowa. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Faye M. Ronk, and three children, Thomas (Karen) Ronk, Vance (Judy) Ronk, and Erin (Tony) Assenmacher. He has five grandchildren, Amanda Simpson (Robert), Vanessa Kichler (Justin), Jared Ronk, Mallory Battles (Marshal), and Jeffrey Tanzi. He has four great-grandchildren, Madison Ronk, Clara Simpson, Thomas Simpson, and Vance Battles. He leaves one sister-in-law, Joanne Cochran of Hood River, Oregon, and many nieces and nephews.
