Harrison's main passions in life were his religion, his family, and his love for music. Harrison was introduced to Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism on May 1973 and has been a devoted member ever since. Harrison was sure to teach any and everyone who crossed his path the meaning of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo. Harrison was fortunate to have a large and loving family. He married his best friend and soulmate Eleanor Rose Irons (Tiller) September 17, 1978, together they raised 4 beautiful children. Harrison was taught by his mother to play the piano at the young age of 4. As he pursued his passion he was able to perform both nationally and internationally with some of Rhythm and Blues greats.
Harrison was a kind hearted soul, soft-spoken, loving, caring family man. Harrison Irons Jr. loved his family. He was a grandfather, father, teacher, doctor, mentor, counselor, a protector, a provider, he was his family's Superman.
Harrison is survived by his wife of 48 years, Eleanor Rose Irons. His four children, Serberthia Bassett, Julius Tiller (Brenda Devenger), Patricia Tiller, and Harrison Tiller (Aisha Tiller); 15 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren.
