Loving Mother, Daughter, Grandmother & Ol’ Great Granny
Helen Shatt passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, beauty, and a heart for family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Shatt; her daughter, Tammie Sterling; her siblings; and many other cherished family members.
She will be deeply missed by her surviving family, including her daughter, Tiffany Gualtieri; granddaughters, Amber Watters (Richard) and Autum Mata (Nate); grandsons, Austin Gualtieri (Makenna) and Jesse Sterling; and her precious great-grandchildren, Trinity, Lily, Chloe, Nova, Lola, Delilah, and Cecylia.
Helen had a special gift for finding beauty in the simplest things. She could create a beautiful bouquet from weeds and coax roses to grow from little more than sticks. Her talent for growing roses was so remarkable that her roses were once featured in a magazine.
Her greatest joy, however, was her family, especially the children. She was the best grandma and the beloved Ol’ Great Granny, always ready to get down on their level, play whatever game they dreamed up, and go searching for “gold in the rocks.” She made every child feel special, loved, and important.
She believed that one of the greatest gifts you could give a child was your time. Whether reading stories, sharing laughter, or simply being together, she made sure every child in her life felt deeply loved.
“No matter how many years pass or how big and tall I grow, little me and you will never be apart. I know you’ve loved me since I was born, but I’ve loved you my whole life.”
Forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. 🌹
