Howard was born on October 19, 1937 to John and Elva Stephens Chapman in Springfield, MO. He was a lifelong area resident and a catholic. Howard was an Army Veteran in 1960 during the Cuban Crisis-Airborne. He was a member of Grandview Elks Lodge and Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Raymore. Howard was a carpenter and retired after 35 Years.
Preceded in death by his parents, sisters Clara Boyd and Wilma Nadine Groves, brothers James Roy Chapman and William Walter Chapman. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Pauline Chapman of the home; sons Joseph Chapman Freeman, MO and Andrew Chapman Belton, MO; daughter Catherine Chapman Stanley, KS; sister Marie Elizabeth Blair Colorado Springs, CO and 4 grandchildren.
