the Arrowhead Senior Living Community in Osage Beach, MO. Born in 1933 in Wamego, KS, he was the son of the late Gerald and Martha Coon. He attended Wamego High School and served in the US Navy during the Korean War. After his time in the Navy he moved from Wamego to Grandview, MO where he worked as a carpenter and eventually started his own construction business. Even though he retired in 1998, he still kept busy with many projects. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara and son, Christopher. He is survived by sons, Jim and his wife Nancy of Sunrise Beach, MO and John and his wife Jolynda of Lee’s Summit, MO; 1 grandson, Michael and his wife Errica of Sunrise Beach, MO; 1 step grandson, Josh and his wife Jess of Kaneohe, HI; 2 granddaughters Jenna and Jayme of Lee’s Summit, MO; 2 great grandsons, Tyler and Jacob of Sunrise Beach, MO.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Graveside on Wednesday, December 16th at 11:30 am in Mt.
Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64138.
