Joe was born on September 10, 1938 to Joseph and Veronica Staudinger on Governor Island, New York. He started his passion of serving his community while in the Boy Scouts, earning the highest honor of Eagle Scout. After graduating high school, he continued this passion by serving in the Air Force for 20 years. During this time, he met the love of his life, Ginny, and started a family of his own. Once he retired from the Air Force, Joe continued his hard work ethic by having a civilian career for 27 years.
Joe was an avid collector of all things related to HO trains. He spent years constructing a model train village of his own. He loved to spend his free time cross-stitching as well. He devoted his time creating birth announcements for all 11 of his grandchildren. When Joe was not spending time with his trains and cross-stitching, he loved to travel around the world with his wife.
Joe is survived by his wife Ginny (Virginia), his five children: Joe (Gina), Rob (Janet), John, David (Elise) and Debbie (Steve); and 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation and Mass will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 9 a.m. at Coronation of Our Lady Parish in Grandview, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Knights of Columbus of the Coronation of Our Lady Parish in Grandview, MO.
