I've been putting this off hoping that something would come to mind that would sound right. I've thought to myself what would I want to hear if I was in your shoes and nothing feels right.  And I cry everytime for you guys.  What a truly awful and unfair situation your family has been put through/in!  Amanda I love to read the things that you have wrote about Madden and I admire your perspective and strength.  I can only hope that through this tragedy your family can grow stronger and try to patch the hole with the memories that you have of your beautiful baby boy.

Madden,I don't even know how to start...you're Mommy's Little Baby.  You brought a new happiness into my life that I didn't know was missing.  You were such a happy baby, a fun baby. I always would think I was 'wasting the day away' when I would no nothing all day except lounge around in my jammies with you.  And it was so 'routine' to nurse you in the  middle of the night.  Funny how now, it is those very moments that I treasure.  The way you laughed at Mason, Addie and Hailey when they'd make silly noises at you.  The way Rowan would hug you and hold you, he just adored you.  And you'd get so excited when you were "Standin!  You're standin!" How excited you'd get when NeNe would give you tasty bittles like chocolate pudding and ice cream and just scream when it was gone.  You loved to eat!  Whether you were playing, eating, watching....laying on the bathroom rug while Mommy would run your bath or laying on Mason's rug while Mommy would clean....sitting on the couch like a big boy or jumping like a mad man in the bouncer, you were always smiling, laughing....always happy.  I start to get upset or feel guilty because I don't have enough pictures of you; no bath photo, no family photo, no photos with your grandparents.  And I also realize now, that I have all those photos and more....my memories.  I can recall so vividly going into the baby pool when you first went swimming at Hailey and Mason's birthday parties, your eyes sparkled with wonder and you laughed little squeals of joy and surprise.  You din't sleep ALL DAY!  You loved the water!  You could sit in your bathtub all day, watching so intently at the water as it 'rained' from your water ball.  So much fun to play with...."Toes, Toes Baby......"  I miss you little toes, I miss the way you'd 'attack' and start sucking my face or my arms, and it was so adorable how you started 'growling' when you did or the way you'd yell when you wanted to be picked up.  I miss every single thing about you with all of being and ache from the depth of my soul to hold you close again.  I knew there was something special about you as you grew inside my tummy....and you turned out to be an absolute angel.  A real little angel in Heaven that came from my womb.  Although I know you are still happy, safe, warm and in a good place, I will always be awaiting in torture and agony until you are back in my arms; which, to me, will always be the best place for you.  I have a completely new perpective on our life on Earth because of you.  You have changed my life and the lives of many others.  God's little angel Madden touched so many people, bringing us back to our faith and the realization that this life is a gift from God, and we all to often take that gift for granted.  I will not any longer, I will cherish my life and those who I love.  Try to relish in every moment with your brother and sister, your dad and just savor having life; because I know your life was a gift, as is Haileys' and Masons', and mine and your Daddys' too.  And when our life here is over we will be given the gift of eternal life in Heaven, where we will never be apart, never ache, never 'miss'.  Since you have been gone, I have felt every emotion possible.  I have experienced fear, guilt, depression and felt angst and despair.  And I know I may never be able to control the way something makes me feel, but I can change the way I perceive...so that I may also continue to experience love, happiness and find peace.  My faith in God and his Heavens that are now your home has never been stronger and I anxiously await the day I'll hold you again.  Until then, I will carry my precious memories of you in my heart and because of you, focus on creating as more memories with our family, for now I know that each and every moment could become a memory tomorrow.  I love you so much my little betto.....you are gone, but will NEVER be forgotten.

how i miss you and love you so! all my grandbabies are my angels but i always said from the day you were born how SPECIAL you were! for the first time i held you i knew you were a very special blessing from god, you may have only been on this earth for 7 months and 20 days but you accomplished more in your short time then some people will in 100 years- or more. I believe in my heart you were sent for Gods plan to teach many people about his love and how precious life is and no matter how young small or little- 1 person (even a baby) can make a HUGE impact on the world and the people around them. You came into this world and brought so much happiness and love and you were such a good baby i knew you were too good to stay for heaven was not as bright while you were here on earth but the earth definetly was shining brighter then it ever did -especially my personnel world!and i KNOW HEAVEN IS AGAIN BRIGHTER FOR YOU and GOD GAVE NE THAT PROOF - for on the day of your funeral it was raining and storming like it had done nonstop since you passed but right in the middle of the service when the priest said "you were the brightest in heaven" -THE WHOLE CHURCH BRIGHTEN AND THE SUN CAME OUT FOR THE REST OF THE DAY! thank-you and please thank God for giving me that little bit of peace knowing you are truely with the lord and are my happy happy smiling angel baby boy! although i cant stop the tears for i miss you and ache for you so- in my heart i am at peace for i know i will see you and hold you again till then i will cherrish my earthly angels hailey mason addie and rowan and any future grandbabies the lord may bless me with- but you will always have a very special place be in my heart and memories and not a day will pass  i will not long for you and ache for you especially at every bathtime!(i miss our special bathtime the most since it was always your favorite -oh how you would laugh! and it was always my favorite time together cause we would always cuddle after and read our story and sing "JESUS LOVES ME" morning and night) Because of you I have grown so much closer to god for he truely has blessed me so much with such precious precious children/grandchildren and i know if i stay close to god i am close to you! alot of people will remember how you always had your arms up and they said you wanted to be held but i know you were always praising the lord for your smile was so full of love and you were always being held not only in your mamas loving arms but in Gods I MISS AND LOVE YOU SO MY ANGEL BOY! Although there probably aren't words to console you and it likely feels like there aren't enough Kleenex to dry your tears... know that there are enough phone numbers to dial, enough arms to hug you when you need it, and enough hearts that will always be open to your family.  
When death happens so close to life, it feels impossible to make sense of it all.  I find it difficult to find the words to express my sympathy and I am hopeful that your beautiful family continues to lean on one another and you find strength in each other as the days pass.

Please know that my heart goes out to the both of you, and words alone can never express nor console the pain that is felt in the hearts of those who have lost of a child. You just have to know that you have an immense amount of support from not only family and friends, but also from God himself. 

Although Madden is not beside you today, he now sits with God and the angels and has the best of care. I can't help but think there must have been a very important reason for God to call him home so early. And although we may never know what purpose he has, I'm sure that only the very special children get this honor. Madden must have been extraordinary to fill this need and in this I hope you take a little comfort. 

Know he looks over you and will shine his light over your days. When a memory of him enters your thoughts, know it is him looking in on you; lending you comfort.

Madden, I hope you have a good summer in Heaven and I love you infinity hundred and four hundred milllion pieces.  And I hope you will always be safe up there and I'll be up there soon when I go up there.

I asked God why this had to happen. I hope you know how much I love you? I know how much you love me too.  I'm having a blast here in Heaven, And with the angel's I now stand, A halo upon my head, A harp within my hand. Mommy, sometimes when you're sleeping I softly cover you with my wings, and Daddy you should see me zoom around with these feathery things!  I'm having a Great time in Heaven, and just in case you don't know, we'll be together again someday, that is a promise, God just told me so!

Stay strong and keep your faith. Know that Madden is with Jesus now and will forever be your angel. God chose you to be an angels parents for a short time. In the short seven months Madden was with you, he taught others how to love and be loved.

Mike, Amanda, Hailey, and Mason- Remember that Madden will live on in your hearts forever. And know that he really is in a beautiful happy place and in the arms of Jesus. Someday you will be reunited with him again but in the mean time, know that he is smiling down on you from Heaven. We will continue to pray for your stregnth and comfort. We love you!

It's important that you know you've made me realize something baby Madden, that I'm guilty of taking my loved ones for granted.  I apologize for not knowing you as well as I probably should have.  Your presence and time spent on earth was not in vain however, and I will do my best to change that with those I still can.  Thank you for leaving me with that day full of nothing but smiles (you know the one =]).  It's the way I'll remember you forever.

I can't wait for him to explain it to me someday!!! Maybe then this will make sense, but until then, I will continue to pray for you. And should you need anything, please get a hold of me. I know we are quite a distance a part, but you know I'll be there! And remember what the pastor said during the ceremony, how lucky you were to have such an amazing little angel with you for 7 months and although the pain is unbearable, it is still worth it because of the joy and happiness experienced during that 7 months...the time with Madden. I love you all!!

All of my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Your sweet Madden touched the lives of so many in such a short amount of time, and he will never be forgotten. He will live on in your heart and he is watching you from heaven.

Little Madden i so wish i had the chance to hold you. Am sure you know how much your mom and dad love you. But also know we did to. I remember your grandma sending me a picture of you the day you was born and thinking i will have to wait to hold you.  I know your great grandpa Pickman was waiting to hold you in heaven when you got there. Love you Madden...

I have no words to express my sympathy for you.  I hope that you find strength in the fact that you are in my thoughts and prayers everyday.

A beautiful baby boy who lived to short but made his parents proud. I know I never met you but I am sure you were a joy to everyone who knew you. I am so sorry for your loss and to your family Amanda love you much.

May you find strength and peace in each other, Amanda and Mike. Our family is here for yours any time you need it. Madden seems like he was a happy baby which can only mean you were the best parents in the world for him.
