I'm sure Mark flew as fast as he could in heaven directly to the Pearly Gates welcoming Carrie Fisher today, December 27, 2016. They are probably both on cloud nine!

Mark. I have gone to see Star Wars the Force Awakens 4 times as of today. One of those viewings was for you.  You would have loved the film. I miss talking action figures with you.  There is so much new in the world of Star Wars and you would be ecstatic. MTFBY.

Mark, I keep finding the post cards you sent and the witty comments you wrote.  I stored them in places all over the house.  It pains me to know I will never get a surprise message out of the blue, and that I can't drop you a line when I think of something I knew you'd get a kick out of.  It pains me that I rarely took the time to send some of my own back to you... and now I cannot.

Mark was cremated and I have safely placed him in the C-3PO cookie jar we bought at a Star War Celebration.
Mark always loved the droids so this seemed to be the best home for him.
He now sits in my office so I get to see and speak with him daily.

Mark was a very extraordinary human being. He was a gift to each individual he met and especially to those who were able to call him their friend. Even though he was a grown man, he never forgot the child within him. That was intrinsic to his existence. That child is what made him so special, so pure. He will never be forgotten. Mark, "Remember...the Force will be with you, always." Until we meet again, my friend.

Unfortunately, I was never able to meet Mark in person, but I did chat with him often through the online Star Wars community.

He had a great sense of humor and always came across as a really nice person.  Wish I had gotten to know him better.

My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.  God bless.

Mark was a genuinely good person who touched many lives.  He will be greatly missed and has left a hole in the community that can not be filled.  His infectious enthusiasm and positive energy served as a shining example among the cynicism and anger that tries to pull everyone down.  
My thoughts and prayers are with Mark's family, and I hope that we have the opportunity to honor his legacy in a meaningful way.

I never had the fortune to meet Mark in person, but his online presence was a welcome addition to a virtual community that will have to find our way without one of our best.

I never met Mark, though I stumbled across his passing on a Star Wars site.  As a KC resident with passion for Star Wars and collecting, I wanted to leave my condolences and to say that my thoughts are with his family and friends.

I've been staring at this page for hours now, unsure of what to write. All I keep coming back to is that he was one of the kindest and most generous people I've had the pleasure of meeting. I'll miss chatting with him online and ogling his Vintage Figure collection. I'll always remember our trip to MCCC and poking fun at Carrie Fisher while we waited in line for her autograph fondly.

Eternal rest, grant unto Mark, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. Amen.

Rest in peace, my friend. Though you will be missed, you will be with us in our hearts..always.

I knew Mark from the Star Wars community (like most on here).  Mark was a great man, and a good friend.  He helped so many over the years and was truly a kind soul.  I hadn't talked to him in a while, but he was always popping in to post about something new he had acquired in his collection.  He was very proud of it.  I will miss Mark, and think of him every time I hear the opening fanfare of a Star Wars movie.

Mark, you will be missed. I expect you to be with me in spirit on Sept 4th, 2015 when I am standing in line at midnight at Toys R Us to buy the newest Star Wars toys. And to be with us when the new Star Wars film is released in December. We only chatted (intensely) online. I wish we could have met in person but that didn't matter because your life and love of Star Wars affected me even so.

Mark touched so many within the Star Wars fan community. He made friends wherever he went.  On behalf of the entire Bantha Skull community, we express our deepest condolences for the untimely loss of a truly kind soul.
