Who knows one better than one who has known you all your life?  Joy is my younger sister. "Is" because even in death she lives with our parents, those who loved her, those who shared her spiritual faith, and her Lord.  A little towhead girl with blue eyes, named Joy which was, as the years passed, a gift she gave to the many she served.  

When an infant, she experienced health issues, which created a life time of concern by her mother and limited many things she yearned for.  One of her greatest dreams was to marry and have children.  Her "boys" and her grand-children were a dream come true.

The lost of a mother is a void never really filled but comfort comes from the knowledge that as the scriptures tells us, this life passes quickly, fades, and then passes away.  Beyond lies our future in eternity where there is no pain, no tears, no heartache.  Dearest Joy - I celebrate your life and look forward to our times in the future.

James, William, and Mel, I'm so sorry for your loss. Martha was always kind to me and her jokes brought a smile to my face. Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.

I too am so sad to hear of Aunt Joy's passing. I clearly remember her taking Jodie and me to the beauty shop to get our hair done, and later to have our pictures taken when we were young girls.  I still have the picture on my bedroom wall, and every time I look at it I think of her fondly.  I can only imagine how difficult her passing must be for William and Melvin.  You both are in my prayers as you go through this difficult time.  I look forward to seeing her again some day.

I am saddened to hear of Aunt Joy's passing. I have fond memories of her from my childhood. She was a kind soul, and I can still see her smile and hear her laughter in my mind. My thoughts and prayers are with William and Melvin. May they find comfort and peace in knowing she has been reunited with Grandma and Grandpa,  and will now live pain free for eternity in the  loving presence of our Heavenly Father.

To the Family of Joy Tanner;

As her cousin, in our early youth we were close.  Our families spent most holidays together.  We grew up together in the same church.  Joy battled many problems in her life, but I always knew her to have a smile and a  joyfull  l heart.  I hope her passing was peaceful and without pain or suffering.. Joy I knew was a Christian and is with Christ this day.  I hope in  the days to come you will remember her for all the love she gave your during your life.
