Martin Leon White, 71 of Grandview, Missouri died on July 24, 2023 at Centerpoint Hospital, Independence, Missouri. Martin was born in Houston, Texas on January 6, 1952 to Royce L. and Doris (Hooper) White. He met his significant other, Sherry Collier, in 1993 and she survives him.
Martin was in the United States Air Force as a younger man and enjoyed working with asphalt all his life. He was a life member of the Mosiah Temple and the Local Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, gambling and spending time with his family.
Martin is survived by his spouse Sherry Collier of the home; 3 brothers Rick and Marge White, Mayview, MO; Jerry and Stacy Leonard, Higginsville, MO; and Terry Leonard of Higginsville, MO; 3 sons Scott White, Chillicothe, MO; Damen White and wife Sandra of Marceline, MO and Denny Switzer of Grandview, MO; 1 daughter, Angel Steward of Odessa, MO. 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at First Baptist Church, Grandview, Missouri.
