Mary Twente Higgins, 95, a long-time resident of the Grandview area, died Saturday, May 14 at the Methodist Manor in Tulsa, OK. A memorial service will be held at McGilley & George Funeral Home in Grandview, MO on Tuesday May 24th at 11 AM. Visitation prior at 10 AM.
Mary was born on June 24, 1921 in Raymore, MO. She lived in Grandview until 2005 at which point she moved to Tulsa, OK and lived there until her passing. She loved good food, cooking, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Theodore Higgins, and her sister, Mabel Dean and brother, Milton Twente.
She is survived by her son, Mark Higgins, her daughter in-law, Betty Higgins, and two grandchildren, Emily Martin and husband Nick and Brian Higgins.
Memorial gifts may be sent to the Grandview United Methodist Church.
