Mary Jo Nichols, age 73, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away November 23, 2010, at home in Grandview, MO, from a long illness. Visitation 1-2 p.m. and Memorial Service following at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, at 12913 Grandview Rd, Grandview, MO. Inurnment in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery Higginsville, MO, at a later date. Mary Jo was born June 13, 1937, to Emil and Lillian Law Ligenza in Leavenworth, KS. She married Robert Nichols, Sr. on July 23, 1955. They moved to El Paso, TX, shortly after where Robert was stationed in the U.S. Air Force. She gave birth to her first child, Theresa Rene April 25, 1956, and son, Robert Jr. September 2, 1959. Mary Jo formerly worked for Fritz Reality in Grandview. She is survived by her husband, Robert of the home; daughter, Theresa Ross and husband, Steve Boulder Jct. WI; son, Robert Jr. Raymore, MO; sister, Cynthia Henry Leavenworth, KS; brother, Jo Ligenza Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Christin and Courtney Nichols.
