Monica LaVonne McGill, 84, of Belton, passed away at 3:57 AM, Wednesday December 31, 2025 at Belton Research Hospital. She was born on April 12, 1941 in Butler, Missouri, to Charles Henry and Zelma Barbara McDaniel. She married Paul David McGill on January 1, 1956.
She is survived by her husband, Paul of Belton, MO, daughters Paula of Kansas City, MO and Jana of Belton, MO, her sister Sharon of Manchester, MO and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, brothers Charles and Leslie, father-in-law Tom McGill, mother-in-law Lucille McGill and brother-in-law Jack McGill.
Monica loved spending time with family and friends, traveling, bowling and eating her favorite thing in life, ice cream. She missed her 69th wedding anniversary by one day.
Visitation will be held at McGilley & George Funeral Home in Grandview, MO on Friday, January 16th from 4:00-6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to American Cancer Society or Dementia Society of America.
