Patricia Ann Kenslow, lovingly known to family and friends as “Patty,” age 68, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, October 9, 2026.
Patty was a beautiful soul whose kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith touched the lives of countless people. She lived her life with a servant's heart, always willing to extend a helping hand to those in need, never passing judgment and never expecting anything in return. Her gentle spirit, compassionate nature, and peaceful presence were gifts to everyone blessed enough to know her.
A devoted Christian, Patty's love for Jesus was reflected not only in her words but in the way she lived her life. Throughout the years, she faithfully volunteered as a children's teacher in the churches she attended, sharing God's love and helping nurture the faith of younger generations.
Her passion for serving others extended beyond the church. For many years, Patty generously provided free tax preparation services to elderly residents in the Belton community. She also served on the management team of C.O.P.P. (Care of Poor People) in Kansas City, Missouri, under the direction of the late Richard Tripp. Her dedication to helping those less fortunate was a true reflection of her compassionate and selfless heart.
Patty graduated from Belton High School in 1976. Following graduation, she devoted her professional career to the credit union industry. Throughout her career, she worked with the Missouri Credit Union League, Federal Employees Credit Union, and Panhandle Employees Credit Union. She later spent more than 20 years with J. Tenbrink & Associates, a credit union CPA firm, before retiring on January 1, 2024.
Above all, Patty treasured her family. She held a special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews, extending her love across generations. She was a source of comfort, encouragement, and unconditional love to those closest to her.
One of the most beautiful examples of Patty's selflessness was the loving care she provided for her mother, Joan, during the final months of her life. Without hesitation, Patty devoted herself to being her mother's full-time caregiver, ensuring she was surrounded by love, dignity, and comfort until she passed peacefully at home. It was a testament to the extraordinary love and devotion that defined Patty's life.
Patty was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ralph Edwin and Joan Kenslow; and her three brothers, Edwin “Ed” Kenslow, Steven “Steve” Kenslow, and Robert “Bob” Kenslow.
She leaves behind her loving sister, Diana Conner; sisters-in-law, Patricia Kenslow and Lisa Kenslow; aunts, Janet Robinson and Genevieve Kenslow; and numerous nieces and nephews spanning multiple generations, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Patty's passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved her. Yet her legacy will continue through the countless lives she touched, the kindness she extended, the faith she demonstrated, and the unconditional love she so freely gave.
Though her earthly presence will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ and the hope of a glorious reunion in Heaven.
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:21 (KJV)
