Peggy Alice (Elkins) Roussey, 74, passed away unexpectedly on November 2, 2021, at home in Kansas City, MO. She was born on December 25, 1946, at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, MO to Charles L. and Gertrude E. (Combs) Elkins.
Peggy graduated from Belton High School, Class of 1964. After graduation, she attended Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, MO. Peggy enjoyed reading, baking, playing card games, shopping, going to the lake, and spending time with her family and friends. Peggy retired from the Internal Revenue Service in September of 2019.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James L. Roussey, and former husband Walter L. Watts III. She is survived by her sister, Anita Philbin; her children, Kelly Watts, Stacey Smith (Shane), and Darrin Roussey; her grandchildren, Brittany Terrell (Michael), Madison Smith (Austin), Lane Schwerdtfeger, Cort Schwerdtfeger, Sebastian Thomson, and Dominic Roussey; and her great grandchildren, Parker Archer and Bentley Rust.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 8 from 6:00-7:30 PM. Services will be held on Tuesday, November 9 at 11:00 AM at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 611 Chestnut St, Belton, MO. Burial in Belton Cemetery, Belton.
