We regretfully announce the passing of Priscilla Tristani on February 26, 2021. She had a very difficult last 10 years due to several illnesses finally succumbing to heart failure. She died peacefully listening to her favorite Christmas music surrounded by her daughters and the caring staff of Beautiful Savior Home where she resided the last three years of her life.
Priscilla was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on February 7, 1944. She became a Nun and went to reside with the Oblatas del Divino Amor in New York and Wisconsin. After 15 years, she returned to her native island to become a wife and mother. She continued her education and graduated from the Universidad de Bayamon with a degree in education. She went on to pursue a career teaching English to High Schoolers in La Academia Santa Rosa. In 1987, she migrated with us to Kansas City, Missouri and taught in the KCMSD as a Magnet School teacher where she worked until her retirement at the age of 65.
Above all, Priscilla was most proud of being a mother to Ivette & Patricia and beloved grandmother to 6 grandchildren, Avatar 19, Ilusion 10, Kaleo 9, Kaiden 8, Zaelito 6 and Xerxes 4. She also leaves behind her best friend Provi, her extended family in Puerto Rico and a slew of grateful students.
Priscilla was predeceased by her father Enrique Tristani, niece Veronica Santori, her mother Manuela Ortiz and sister Candi Tristani.
Per her wishes, Priscilla will be cremated followed by a Mass in the near future. At this time, no services have been set.
