My prayers and condolences to the family. Sammy was an AMAZING man, he was thoughtful, kind and willing to help others. I don’t consider too many people a friend, Sammy was my friend and family. I am going to miss you and your chain smoking. To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. I will cherish our memories. Take your rest my friend until we meet again. Jason and Brandon, if there is ANYTHING you need please let Tee know.

Gosh I remember the many summers that me, Sammy, his brothers and Dad hauled hay. We made 2 cents a bale each. On a good day we'd make $25.00 apiece for 12 hours of "hard hot" work. But my oh my the dinner that Mrs. Yearta would lay out for us at the end of the day.

Your gone too soon Sammy but I'll have fond memories forever.

Sammy was such a good guy. I enjoyed our conversations at various GHS gatherings at RC’s. I felt we had a bit of a special connection as like Sam I had lost my wife and we spoke of loss. I am saddened by the passing of a pleasant, soft spoken man but I will always cherish the conversations I had with Sammy. Condolences to his family. God rest his soul.
