Sharon Kay Horton, age 72, of Belton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Sharon was born in Burlington, Iowa, to Marcia Rosen and Lawrence Young. Sharon is survived by her son, David Young; her daughter, Roberta Miller; her son, Micheal Young; her grandchildren, Rayman, Zack, and Ema; and her great-grandchild, Nathaniel. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Young, and her mother, Marcia Rosen. A devoted mother and grandmother, Sharon worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for over 30 years, demonstrating compassion and care for others throughout her career.
Outside of her work, Sharon enjoyed spending her time bowling, listening to music, and watching crime and medical shows, which brought her both relaxation and joy. Sharon will be remembered for her kind heart, dedication to her family, and her ability to bring warmth to those around her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
A private service will be held for family and close friends.
