William Harry Ervin Jr.

William “Bill” Harry Ervin Jr, 71, of Grandview, MO passed away on May 26, 2025 at home. He was born August 3, 1953 in Los Angeles, CA, the son of William and Charlene Gilham Ervin. Bill married Janet Heiter Ervin on August 11, 1979 at Pratt, KS. They were married for 45 years.

Bill graduated from Anaheim High School in 1972. He joined the US Navy in 1972, then continued his service with the Kansas National Guard until he was honorably discharged in 1992. Bill worked as a Foreman for Kansas Gas Service until his retirement in 2000. Bill was a member of the Abundant Harvest Church of the Nazarene in Pratt, KS. Bill loved Mtn. Dew, NASCAR, going fishing, and bowling.

Survivors include: spouse, Janet of Grandview, MO; sons Matthew of Wichita, KS, Cody, and Jordan (Raquel) of Grandview, MO; daughter Sara (Dustin) Eubank of Coats; grandchildren, Gaby Eubank, Mackenzie Ervin, Braxton Ervin and Kami Eubank; a furbaby Kali; brother Dale Ervin.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Gale Vande Brake.

Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends on Monday, June 2 from 5-7pm at The Front Porch 115 E 4th Pratt, KS. A private family burial will be held.

Memorial donations in Bill’s memory may be made to his Grand-Children’s Education Fund in care of Janet Ervin at the People’s Bank in Pratt.
