JANSEN - Mrs. Aafke Jansen, age 89 of Rockford, formerly of Grandville, passed away Friday, May 28, 1999, and went to be with her Lord. She was a long time member of Southwest Protestant Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Jan Albert Jansen. Surviving are her children, Hank and Nancy Jansen, Gerry and Gerry Jansen; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers; her sister-in-law Miep Veldman; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Tuesday 10 a.m. from the Cook Memorial Chapel east building with Rev. Ron Cammenga of Southwest Protestant Reformed Church officiating. Interment Rest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will meet relatives and friends Monday 7 to 9 p.m. from the Cook Funeral Home west building, 4235 Prairie St. SW. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be left to Visiting Nurse Hospice.
