

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Bly Scott; his father, James Raymond Scott; and his brother, William Keith Scott.
Al will be lovingly remembered by his children, James (Jamie) Scott, Nikki (Darryl) Charles, Sara Scott (Brandon Irwin); his grandchildren, Emery Scott, Tyler, Koty, Clayton, Charlotte, and Aysia Charles, Bailey and Cooper Irwin; his mother, Ruth Scott; his domestic partner, Brenda Brocker; his sisters, Karen (Paul) Parsons, Cheryl Scott, Diane (Rick) Johnson; his brother, Bob Scott; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Al was a hardworking, talented Injection Mold Technician for HL Advantage in Grandville. He enjoyed tinkering, watching NASCAR races, and sports on TV. Camping, bonfires with a TV in the back of his van, taking the back roads and his love for music are some other memories his family will hold onto about Al.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 17, at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville (West building), 4235 Prairie St., S.W. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building).
In honor of Al, contributions may be made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
