She was born March 1, 1951 in Germany the daughter to Marvin and Elsa (Fleck) Heemstra. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Alfred Heemstra; her Aunt Maude Husta-Fleck in Germany and previous husband Andrew Godfrey.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Sue) Godfrey; sister Maria (Ron) Witte, her two grandchildren David and Lexi Godfrey; nieces Elysse (Eric) Gies, Holly Witte; nephew Cameron Witte and several amazing friends.
Ann’s family will meet with relatives and friends from 1 - 3 and 5 - 7 p.m. November 1, 2017 at the Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St., S.W., Grandville, Michigan.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Down Syndrome Society or a charity of one’s choice.
