Alice M. Abrams (Jones)

ABRAMS-Alice M. Abrams (Jones) age 93 of Byron Center went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 15, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Clara Jones; her husband Jim Abrams, her daughter Julie Cain, son-in-law Orv Fields, granddaughter Patti Cain; her sisters and brothers, Helen, Gene, Jessie, Caroline, Raymond and Johnnie.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Fields; grandchildren Laurie Rohen, Elizabeth (Norm) Towers, Steve (Amy) Cain, Scott (Mary) Cain, Michael (Michelle) Fields, Carl Cain, Thomas (Christine) Fields, Jamie (Sherry) Cain; 20 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; sister-in-law Fern Jones and special friends, Donnetta Gould, Phyllis Johnson and Pam Emery.

Alice was a wonderful mother and grandmother who served as an example of a proper lady and Christian woman. She enjoyed doing things for her family and friends like making doll clothes, afghans and fudge.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Dorr with Pastor Stephen J. Otto officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center, 2067 84th St. The family welcomes memories and messages on their families' guestbook at www.cookcares.com.
