Alice J. Travis

TRAVIS - Alice J. Travis, age 72, went to be with her Lord Sunday, March 4, 2007. Alice was born to John and Gertrude Spicer Travis on June 20, 1934. She was also preceded in death by her sisters and brother, Lucille Travis, Lorraine Talsma, Lois Travis, and John Travis Jr.

She will be deeply missed by her sisters, Joyce Archer of VA, Shirley Travis, Judy House both of Wyoming, and Catherine Newman also of VA; special uncle and aunt, Lester and Alice Klinker of NC, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Cook Memorial Chapel east building, 4235 Prairie SW, with Rev. Thomas Rohrer officiating. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may meet her family Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home west building. Those unable to attend the visitation or funeral service may sign the family’s Memory Book at www.cookfuneralservices.com.

Contributions in memory of Alice may be made to Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods.
