

Andrew James Jager, age 87, of Howard City, formerly of Byron Center, went to be with his Lord Sunday, September 3, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Jager; his parents Henry and Jenny Jager; and his brothers Henry, Gerrit, and Charles Jager. Andy will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Carolyn Jane Jager (Bos); their children James and Trudy Jager of Middleville, Brenda and Don Keller, of Alaska, Doug Jager of Traverse City, Brian Jager of Byron Center; their grandchildren Mandie Jager, Megan and Norm Gorringe, Evan Jager; their great-grandchildren Holly and Maddie Harmon; his brother, Clarence Jager; his sister-in-law, Lois Jager; and many nieces and nephews.
Andy proudly served in the U.S. Army. Andy owned and worked at Jager's TV and Appliances in Grand Rapids. Throughout life he continued to tinker with whatever needed to be fixed, and some things that didn’t. Andy loved hunting and especially fishing, whether in Michigan, Canada, or Alaska.
A time for relatives and friends to visit with Andy’s family will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday, September 7, at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 84th St. SW. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Friday, September 8, at the funeral home. Pastor Mark Bergsma will officiate the service.
