Angeline J. Patterson-Handy

PATTERSON-HANDY - Angeline J. Patterson-Handy 1966 - 2009. Angie was born to Walter and Naida Patterson of Wheaton, IL on October 22 of 1966. She worked for many years in private Catholic education as both a teacher and Development Director in Baltimore, MD. For the past four years she was the Volunteer Manager at God's Kitchen and then at Catholic Charities of West Michigan. Angie believed that good works were the highest form of worship and she strove to help the ill, the unlucky and the underserved.

She leaves behind her husband of 25 years, Jack and their three dogs. In addition she was a devoted sister-in-law and beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews. The world is richer for her presence.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a school for inner city children that remained very dear to her, Mother Seton Academy in Baltimore, MD, www.mother setonacademy.org. There will be an open house at their home in Jenison on Friday, June 5th from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
