

Anthony “Tony” Anton, age 83, of Comstock Park, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022. Tony will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Lorraine Anton; their children Mike Anton, Pam Anton and her husband Curt Thorin, and his children from an earlier marriage Cindy Kopazna and her husband, Jerry, Deborah Anton-Traeger and her husband, Darrell Traeger, Jeff Anton and his wife, Anna. He also will be remembered by his grandchildren Jennifer and Nicholas Kopazna, William and Miller Anton; as well as his great-grandchild, Chase Kopazna. His loving brother, Chris Anton and his wife, Pat remained close throughout their lives. Tony's memory will live on with them as well as his many nieces and nephews.
Tony was born in Grand Rapids, graduated from Ottawa Hills High School, and attended Grand Rapids Community College. He worked as an industrial equipment salesman for most of his career, traveling for work to Ireland, England, and throughout the United States. He later worked as a manager for Spectrum Health Courier Services.
Tony was well-known for his sharp sense of humor and technical mind. He was everyone's hero, coming to the rescue of many family and friends over the years. He was an avid outdoorsman and an iconic car whisperer. He will be missed ever so dearly by his wife, children, and many great friends.
