He was preceded by his son Terry Grandy.
He is survived in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Ruth Grandy; his sons Tony (Sandy) Grandy, Tim Grandy of Florida, Tom (Doug Berg) Grandy; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; his brothers Joe (Margaret) Grandy, Peter (Gloria) Grandy; his sister Mary (Phil) Wolters, and brother-in-law Fred Staszkiewicz.
The Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson, S.W., Grandville, MI. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St., S.W., Grandville, and Wednesday for one hour prior to Mass at church.
