Austin Langdon Marston “Chub,” age 84, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023. Chub was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Betty; parents Travis and Ruth Marston; brother, Ralph Marston; and dear friend and brother-in-law, Joseph Kibbey. He will be deeply missed.
Austin served in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper. Chub enjoyed spending time with family, eating out, fishing, and hunting. Following his retirement from Tenneco Packaging Corporation, he and Betty loved the time they spent wintering in Florida. He leaves behind his loving family including children Teresa (David) Dekkinga, Michael Marston, and Kathleen (Brian) Stine; grandchildren Stephanie (Brian) Nawrocki, Megan (Josh) Robach, Austin Stine, Jason Stine, and Morgan Marston; great-grandchildren Skylar, Savannah, Brody, Bentley, and Cash Nawrocki, and Hailey, Maximus, and Madelyn Robach; brothers Richard (Bea) Marston and Donald Marston.
A memorial visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Contributions in memory of Chub may be made to Wounded Warriors Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
