Barbara Grooters

Barbara Grooters, age 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, January 7, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Grooters. She will be lovingly missed by her children Dale (Michele) Grooters, Dawn (Randy) Smits, Darl Grooters (Rick Strauman); grandchildren Laura Smits, John (Kelsey) Smits, Drew Grooters, Lauren Grooters; three great-grandchildren Teddy, Emma, and Abe Smits; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

We will miss our mother, grandma, great-grandma, and friend. Barb was a special lady who loved her family dearly. She was a professional knitter, a decadent baker, a dedicated volunteer, and always one to offer an ear to a friend. A real people person. She loved her husband of 66+ years and as we look through photos they always have a hug and a twinkle in their eyes for each other.

A Celebration of Barb's Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022 with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin St, Jenison.
