Beatrice Van Van Dam

Beatrice Van Dam passed away unexpectedly Friday August 17 at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerdus and brother, Dirk Postmus. She is survived by her daughter Carolyn (Kevin) Kruithoff from Jenison and her son Andy Van Dam from Escondido, CA, her grandchildren, Erin and Mike Mepyans and Alicia Kruithoff and brothers John & Sid (Sandy) Postmus and sister Nancy Spiering and faithful dog, Shadow. Bea was a stranger to no one. She was always the 1st to introduce herself and her smile was contagious. Bea had friends of all ages and will be very much missed. Her Christian faith was very dear to her. Many babies in this world had blankets, sweaters etc. knitted or crocheted by her. She was very talented. She moved from the Netherlands with her parents and brothers and sister and lived in the Grand Rapids/ Jenison area for 30 yrs. She and her husband moved to San Diego in 1982 and spent another 30 sunny years there. She moved back to Jenison just 3 months ago. We loved our Mom and Grandma!

Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 21 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building) 4235 Prairie St SW, Grandville at 11 AM. Friends and family may pay their respects 1 hour prior to the service. Bea loved the Christian Reformed Church and any contributions should be sent to the CRC World Relief Missions.
