Beatrix was preceded in death by her uncle, Jonathon Bonnema, and cousin, Sylvie Willard.
She will be extraordinarily missed by her parents Patrick and Ashley; brothers Axel and Crosby; grandparents Mike and Gwen Bonnema, and Bill and Casey Warren; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
The family wishes to express extreme special thanks to all the nurses and staff of Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital for their loving and compassionate care. In particular, we want to give special thanks to her nurses Jane, Janet, Taylor and Tori, and the Child Life staff, Gaye and Theresa.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Engedi Church, 710 Chicago Drive, Holland, MI 49423, with visitation 30 minutes prior to service at Engedi.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sweet Bea to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Child Life Services. This group helped her brothers fall in love with coming to visit Bea, and we think she would want to help other families experience that joy and fun at the hospital as well.
As babies often are, Beatrix Joy Warren was loved and adored from the moment she joined this world. We had no idea that our little girl would capture the hearts and souls of so many people across the world. From low blood sugar levels at birth, to a rare leukemia disorder (TMD), to chemotherapy, to multiple infections and internal bleeding, this young warrior lived through more than enough for a village of people to endure. Through all of it, Sweet Bea somehow maintained a peaceful, strong demeanor in her little body. She was feisty. She made the nurses laugh often, and loved to wrap her tiny hands around our fingers. She actually had us wrapped around her little finger. We would have done anything for Beatrix. We have learned so much from her in this short amount of time and are forever grateful for the four weeks with which we were blessed. Though we feel robbed of a lifetime of joy and happiness with Bea, we trust God completely through this and know Bea is looking down on all of us with a smile on that perfect, round face. Thank you, Beatrix Joy for allowing us to love and dote on you these past weeks. Your brothers adore you. We are forever changed for the better, thanks to you. The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.
