Bernard Gerard Funk

FUNK-Bernie Funk age 63 of Dorr, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 27, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents Gerard and Louise Funk, his sisters Theresa Pelgrim and Mary Lou Pfeiffer and brother James Funk. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Deb; his children Brent (Theresa) Funk and Natalie Funk; his brothers and sisters, Rosalene Burd, Gene Funk, Gary (Bonnie) Funk, Ray (Kathy) Funk, Patti (Don)Van Wagner, Debbie (Mike) Valenti and Susie Gruis; his in-laws James Pfeiffer, Sue Ann Funk; father and mother-in-law Tom and Louise Williams; brothers and sisters-in-law Kathleen (Jerry) Burgess, Linda (John) Van Singel, Elaine (Ray Voetburg) Williams, Ruth Williams, Tom (Tammy) Williams Jr. and Keith (Marilyn) Williams and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends . Bernie proudly worked for 43 years for PCA in Grandville and will be remembered for his vibrant spirit and sense of humor. The family would like to extend their deep appreciation for the love and support they received during Bernie's battle with liver disease; special thanks to Scott and Lynnette Gallegos. The funeral mass will be held 10:30 am Friday at St. Sebastian Catholic Church with Msgr. William Duncan celebrant. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm with a vigil service at 6pm at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center 2067 84th .
