
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Lois DeKleine; his children, Douglas Mickey Scott of St. Paul, MN, Mary Jo Rev. Thomas Dekker of Menomonee Falls, WI, Steven Pamela Scott of Newberry, MI, and Kathy Scott of Hudsonville; his 8 grandchildren, Steven, Charles, and Douglas Scott; Nicole and Katherine Dekker; Elizabeth, Jessica, and Amanda Scott; his sisters-in-law, Fanny DeKleine and Jeanella TenHave; his nephew, Lewis Cindy TenHave and family; his niece, Nancy Gregory Bekius and family; and many friends. Bernie was very proud to have served his country during WW II.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday February 4 at the First Reformed Church of Grandville, 3060 Wilson SW with Rev. Dick Ter Maat officiating.
The family will meet with relatives and friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home west building 4235 Prairie St SW in Grandville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to The Other Way, Hospice of Holland Home, or the First Reformed Church - Service Deacons.
