Born May 29, 1931, Betty shared a loving marriage with her husband, Edward, who preceded her in death 14 years ago. Together, they built a life filled with faith, family, and adventure.
She is lovingly remembered by her children Stephen (Tanya), along with their children Nathan, Nolan, and Molly; Mary (Terry), their daughters Megan, Rachel, and Kathryn; and Tom (Amy), with their daughters Lydia and Payton. Betty was also blessed with 14 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Hubert, as well as her siblings Lorraine and Buddy.
Betty lived a vibrant and active life. She cherished time spent golfing with family and traveling alongside Edward. Her deep dedication to her faith was evident in all she did. She was a passionate dancer, especially fond of square dancing; Betty brought energy and joy wherever she went. She volunteered faithfully at Trinity Health and at her parish, where her warm spirit and generous hugs left a lasting impression on many.
A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2025 at St. Pius X Catholic Parish, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Guided by faith throughout her life, Betty’s legacy of love, kindness, and joyful spirit continues to live on in those she touched. May she rest in God’s eternal peace. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in their guestbook online.
