Betty M. De De Vos

DE VOS - Betty M. De Vos, age 78, of Detroit and Grand Rapids, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 27, 2001, after 33 years of worldwide ministry in partnership with her husband, Rev. Donald F. De Vos, President of the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries.

Mrs. De Vos is also survived by her children, Patti Shuey and husband Fred, Bob Raisanen and wife, Linda, Jan Kilpatrick and husband, Dr. Rod Kilpatrick, Lynne Schaap; grandchildren, Kim Ross and husband, Bob, Bryan and Stacey Raisanen, Melissa Gottberg and husband, Terry, Scott Shuey and wife, Tina, Jason Shuey; great-grandchildren, Jakob Raisanen, Amy and Keri Gottberg, Austin Wright; her brothers and sister, Gerald Paauwe and wife, Nancy, Martin Paauwe and wife, Ann, Margie Boss and brother-in-law, Neil VanderMaas; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, June VanderMaas and brother, Lawrence Paauwe. Memorial celebration services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 5 at Cook Memorial Chapel 4235 Prairie St. SW east building. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland Home.
