Betty Jane Roon

ROON Mrs. Betty Jane Roon Cotham, age 86, of Middleville Michigan, one of the Grand Ladies of Barlow Lake, passed into the arms of the Lord Wednesday, February 4, 2009 with her loving family at her side.

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 25, 1922 to Fay E. and Purletta Cotham Huff, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, James R. Roon, her eldest son James K. Roon, and a beautiful granddaughter, Katie Marie Roon.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jane Roon of Middleville, sons, Robert Lori Roon of Hudsonville, and Michael Kim Roon of Grandville; grandchildren, Erin and Megan Roon, Andy Jenn Roon, Joel Alli Roon, and Jason Roon; two beautiful great grandchildren, Matthew and Hannah.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 6 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center Chapel, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Wayne Kiel officiating. Interment will be at Rosedale Memorial Park.
