Betty Simons

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Simons; parents August and Viola Homrich; brothers Delbert Homrich and Merlyn Homrich; and sister, Doreen DeVries.

She will be lovingly missed by her sisters Phyllis Hodge, Vivian (Don) DeVos, Janet (Jim) Fein, and Judy Fein; brothers-in-law Butch (Ellen) Simons and Junior Steffes; step-children Paul Maultby and Muriel Peterson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Betty was retired from General Motors and was an owner of Chuck’s Tavern and Simple Simon’s Tavern. She liked baking bread for family and friends. Additionally, she was an avid card player. The family would like to especially thank the Byron Manor staff and Kindred Hospice for their loving care.

Visitation with the family will be held from 2-5 PM on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 - 84th Street SW, Byron Center, MI 49315.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, November 4, 2019 with an hour of visitation prior to the service at Cook - Byron Center. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.

In honor of Betty and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Kindred Hospice.
