She was born to parents Ralph and Viola Smith on February 11, 1943. After a long, full life, our dear mother and grandmother went to sleep here on Earth and unexpectedly awoke in Heaven. Her family celebrates her passing and, in faith, entrusts her to her Lord. She was met in Heaven by her husband, Harvey Ter Haar; and her parents.
She will be remembered by her children Todd Ter Haar, Tom (Katie) Ter Haar, Trent (Gwen) Ter Haar; six grandchildren whom she adored and gave her immeasurable joy. She also leaves behind many extended relatives and friends. Family was of great importance to her.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2026 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
