Carl Stocking

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Phyllis Stocking; parents Dexter and Margaret Stocking; sisters Edith and Marion, and brother Bruce.

He is survived by his children Edward (Li-ing Chang) Stocking, Barbara (Kurt) Ansorge, Laura (Timothy) Layne, Margaret (William) Lafferty, Dexter (Janene) Stocking; nine grandchildren; brothers Marvin (Mildred) Stocking, William (Barbara) Stocking, and Ralph (Marilyn) Stocking; in-laws Merwin (Delores) Wright, Wilma Wright; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Carl will be greatly missed for his quiet caring, love for family, and always being ready to assist his church and friends. He will also be remembered for his long-time participation with Boy Scout Troop 352.

Visitation with family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Lifestream Free Methodist Church, 800 Maryland Ave., NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Funeral service will immediately follow at the same location at 1 p.m. on April 4, 2017. Pastor Russ Atherton will be officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
