Carol Jean Hartwell

Carol Hartwell, age 86, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, October 8, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents Clay and Genevieve Wyrick; first husband, Duane Campbell; daughter, Lisa Brown; grandson, David French. She is survived by her husband, Richard Hartwell; children Kelly DeBoer, Duane Campbell ll, Shari (Terry) VandenBosch, Tracey (Dan) Sikorski, Kim (Ray) Doty, and Stephen (Melissa) Campbell; stepchildren Theresa (Steven) Vickers, Michelle (Robert) Harris, Richard S. (MJ) Hartwell, and Jennifer (Christopher) Sheedy; 28 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers Charles (Bridget) Wyrick and Jim (Linda) Wyrick; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Carol was a strong woman of faith and dearly loved her family. She loved Richard and was blessed by the 14 years they had together. Carol had a great sense of humor and enjoyed conversation with anyone. She loved her Detroit Tigers and also would not miss an episode of Judge Judy. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church 2700 Baldwin St. Jenison, MI, with visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to service.
