Carol Sytsma

SYTSMA - Carol May Faber Sytsma, age 77, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 21, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus Lena Faber; husband, George Sytsma; sister, Helen DeWitt, and daughter-in-law, Linda Sytsma. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Richard Jacque Sytsma, Robert Sytsma, Gerald Cynthia Sytsma, and Pattie Scott Stowell; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sister, Irene Calvin Andree; brothers, Kenneth Pietranella Faber and Larry Nelda Faber; brother-in-law, Jake DeWitt; sisters-in-law, Barbara Church and Sally Charles Quigley; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Carol was a loving mother and grandmother who loved walking, reading, painting, and spending time with her friends.

The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Cook Memorial Chapel with Rev. Michael Stowell officiating. Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery.

The family will meet with relatives and friends on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, west building.
