She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Rollin Hilbrands; and three siblings. She is survived by her children Kim (Tom) Glashower, Pat (Eric) Stickel, and Nancy (David) Brouwer; grandchildren Anna (Alex) Merrill, Joel (Sheila) Glashower, Luke (Alyssa) Glashower, Micah (Alison) Glashower, Seth (Cambrie) Brouwer, Ben Brouwer; great-grandchildren Charlie, Max, Eleanor, and Everlee Merrill, and Ella, Levi, Crew, Carolina, Thomas, and Alessandra Glashower; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Carole took care of Ron's "hobby farm" for years. She drove bus for Hudsonville for 14 years. Carole took many trips over the years, with Germany being a favorite. She spent the last eight years at Sunset Villages and Manor where she made friends with many residents and staff. She loved watching Tiger's baseball.
A celebration of life gathering will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Grace Bible Church, 3715 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, with visitation from 9:30-11:30 a.m. prior to service.
