Carolyn J. Clinger, a resident of Kentwood, Michigan, passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 88. She was born December 11, 1936. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Clinger and her daughter, Kimberly. Carolyn is survived by her sons Brian (granddaughter, Audrey) and Bradley (Ann). She was born in Grand Rapids and graduated from Central High School. She attended Western Michigan University where she met her husband and celebrated over 65 years of marriage with him. Carolyn taught elementary school in the Grand Rapids and Kentwood School districts. She enjoyed gardening, golf, skiing, and sailing.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2025, at Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan, with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Grandville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Carolyn, memorial contributions may be made to Mel Trotter Ministries (homeless shelter).
