Karen and Kathy /Kent:

Please accept our condolences in the passing of your mother and our beloved aunt. What great memories we cherish of her living in Whitinsville, going to the ocean as a family, going to grandma and grandpas house after church.

Now she’s in heaven with all of our family members who passed before us, what a reunion that has been.
Rest In Peace Aunt Cathy until we meet again.

I will forever remember how Aunt Cathy loved going to Boston. She was a great cook and my dad (Ray VandenAkker - her brother) and I enjoyed sitting around her dining room table having coffee catching up on the news from back home (Massachusetts). Now her fondest wish has come true.. Her reunion with grandma and grandpa has finally happened. You will be missed Aunt Cathy. Susan

So sorry to hear this. Fond memories of her and Al visiting their roots in Groningen and Friesland ( provinces in the Netherlands). And my visit to Grand Rapids in 1989. Rest in peace dear Cathy.

I am so grateful for Aunt Cath and Uncle Al; they were present for me at the hardest times in my life. They truly lived their faith. I am thrilled that they are reunited, and that Aunt Cath is seeing so many of her loved ones who have passed over.
